Activ Nutrition reached out to us to develop and launch its brand and health products in the Australian market. Southdown created a brand identity and strategy that spanned digital and print.

The Challenge: Contrast to Competition

Activ Nutrition was founded with the belief that for Aussies to better themselves, they first need access to better and more alternative products. Activ Nutrition came to us with raw passion and an idea – to inspire, encourage, and support Aussies on their health journey.

Southdown Creative was challenged to create a brand identity that would be applied across a wide range of mediums and to develop a brand strategy that would not only make Activ Nutrition stand out in a saturated and competitive market, but also become a household brand name.

The Solution

We developed an identity to work across all mediums and help packaging design to stand out on shelves in stores.

The identity comprises of soft multi-colour gradients that can be used to communicate flavours and product benefits to consumers quickly. For example, bright and bold colours for energy supplements with the colours coinciding with the flavour or ingredients.

The original approach was much more minimalistic, but later we incorporated Australian flora into the designs to reflect the organic Australian ingredients.
